The York University Temporary Agency (YUTA) is seeking flexible and adaptable applicants interested in obtaining temporary employment on York's diverse campus. We are accepting resumes for customer service representatives with York's Bookstore.
As part of the Bookstore team you will:
Work on the sales floor and at the Text Information Desk, you will access the Bookstore's computerized on-line system to answer a variety of questions regarding course material, product availability, cost, location of materials.
Stack books onto shelves.
Perform routine walkabouts to ensure security of merchandise.
Required Skills:
Previous sales experience, excellent customer service skills, dealing attentively, courteously and diplomatically with people in a public service and sales environment. Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure of extremely high volume. Basic computer skills required. Able to lift and move weights of up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work day or evening shifts.
SALARY: $11.34 PER HOUR.
