yuta@yorku.ca The York University Temporary Agency (YUTA) services York University's interim employee hiring needs. YUTA is responsible for sourcing and placing all interim employees in work assignments throughout the university.
YUTA is currently accepting applications for receptionists from experienced applicants with a minimum of two years of relevant office experience.
Responsibilities may include:
- responding to in person and telephone enquiries from students, faculty and general public
- answering phones and providing basic information
- general office duties including: filing, faxing, photocopying, processing forms, data entry
- basic word processing duties
- scheduling meetings and booking appointments for staff members
Requirements:
- good knowledge of Word 2000, Excel 2000 and Lotus Notes
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to deal with competing priorities
- good typing speed (minimum of 35 wpm) with emphasis on accuracy
- excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- ability to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in fast paced office environment
- proven ability to work well independently
