Multicultural Week, Feb5th - 8th:

This year York is investing $16,000 into this event. If you've never been to Multicultural Week - yearly ALL YORK event, than you've been definetly studying too much.

It is by far the BEST place to come and meet new people in our club and ofcourse the chance to meet the execs.

Help celebrate diversity by joining York’s cultural organizations in our Multicultural village. A packed main stage, food fairs, parades, world flags, fashion and info booths make for the most exciting week of the year.
From February 5th - February 8th 2007, watch as Accolade East and Student Centre are transformed into a cultural festival with over 60 student groups represented.

Participate in the "Passport to the World Contest" and win exciting prizes including a FREE trip to Montreal, Desktops PC and ipods.

RuSSA @ York is Participating in almost everything:

Monday Feb.5th: Parade and Food Fair @ Underground
Wednesday and Thursday Feb. 7th and 8th: Global Village (The tabling)
Thursday Feb. 8th: Stage Performances: 2:10 "Samogon Project", the band consisting of Dima, Dasha, Vitya and Vadim will open up the stage performances with a set of contemporary and modern Russian songs.


WE NEED VOLUNTEEEERSSS!!!

a) People to sit at the tables (This year we have 2 tables + 4 chairs)

b) Cultural stuff like knizhki, flagi, samovari, platki, matreshki, lozhki, otkritki and so on.

c) We need food for the Food Fair. We will be serving pel'meni for everyone but if you can, please bring some sushki, prayaniki, konpheti to help us out we'll be very happy. Please note, if you bring checks for all items purchased, you will be reimbursed.

d) We got cultural costumes and we need people to wear them for the Global Village

e) Bring Spirit to the stage performances. Our band is going to need it!
