Proposed New Executive Structure for 2008-09:

President
VP Finance
VP Communications

Social Events Director
Sport Events Director
Designer
Promotions Team

For Descriptions on Responsibilites of each of these Positions please refer to 2006 Elections Structure:

5) What Events do you propose RuSSA hosts in the future?

Position Descriptions:

President:
Responsibilities:
-   Acts as an official representative and liaison with York administration and other YorkU clubs
-   Does all the administrative tasks: funding forms, signing contracts, etc.
-   Acts as an immediate backup to all other execs.
-   Compiles the mailing list weekly
-   Updates the website
-   Acts as the forum moderator
-   Approves new members

VP-Secretary/Communications
Responsibilities:
-   Acts as an immediate backup to the president in an event that president is unable to perform his tasks due to schoolwork, health or other reasons
-   Manages memberships and is responsible for registration.
-   Books rooms per request of Events Directors
-   Designs posters or works with a poster designer to get the job done
-   Creates photocopies for posters
-   Coordinates the team of people responsible for postering at York

VP Finance
- Acts as an immediate backup to the president in an event that president is unable to perform his tasks due to schoolwork, health or other reasons

- Manages financial state of the organization
- Prepares quartely reports
- Works with University to Establish funding channels for the club

Social Events Director:
Responsibilities:
-   Coordinates and organizes  social events (Ex: Movie Nights, Pub Nights, Art Gallery trips )
-   Acts primary contact regarding all social events
-   Books rooms or other facilities
-   Acts as the first contact regarding any events organized by club members.
-   Compiles list of social events that are happening around the city or York that would be to interest of the club community and submits the President to be featured on the mailing list and the website

Sport Events Director:
Responsibilities:
-   Coordinates and organizes  sports events (Ex:Volleyball, Skating, Soocer)
-   Acts as a primary contact regarding all sport events
-   Books rooms or other facilities
-   Acts as the first contact regarding any events organized by club members.
-   Compiles list of  sport events  that are happening around the city or York that would be to interest of the club community and submits the President to be featured on the mailing list and the website

Designer
Responsibilities:
-   designs posters, flyers and evites for the club.

Promotions Team:
Responsibilities:
-   Helps to hang up posters at york
-   Spreads the word about the club
-   Acts as a volunteer at RuSSA events
