Election Period: April 15th - May 15th

Nominations: You can nominate yourself or nominate someone else, providing that person doesn't mind.

Previous Executives: Previous executives including current Exec Team members may choose to reinstate themselves in the executive positions or choose to enter the list of the ALUMNI execs who will act in a supportive role.

Each exec team member must demonstrate the following values:

a) Be able to speak russian or willing to learn
b) Strive to promote Russian-like culture at York
c) Be friendly to others

Here are the positions available for 2006-07 term by number of spots:

VP/Secretary :1
Social Events Director: 2
Sport Events Director: 2
Marketing Director: 1
Designer: 1
Promotion Team Members: 5

Please look into the each forum thread to see what each positon means.

If you would like to nominate yourself, please post the following in the position of your choice (The same applies for current exec team members):

- Your name
- Your picture
- Couple of sentences about who you are and why you'd like to become/stay an exec.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who always wanted to do something extra for the club or simply wanted to test their leadership abilities and make TONS of new friends.

Note: If there are multiple people applying for position the voting will take place.

President:
Responsibilities:
-   Acts as an official representative and liaison with York administration and other YorkU clubs
-   Does all the administrative tasks: funding forms, signing contracts, etc.
-   Acts as an immediate backup to all other execs.
-   Compiles the mailing list weekly
-   Updates the website
-   Acts as the forum moderator
-   Approves new members

VP/Secretary
Responsibilities:
-   Acts as an immediate backup to the president in an event that president is unable to perform his tasks due to schoolwork, health or other reasons
-   Manages memberships and is responsible for registration.
-   Books rooms per request of Events Directors

Social Events Director:
Responsibilities:
-   Coordinates and organizes “Type A” social events (Ex: Movie Nights, Pub Nights, Art Gallery trips )
-   Acts primary contact regarding all social events
-   Books rooms or other facilities
-   Acts as the first contact regarding any events organized by club members (Events of Type B)
-   Compiles list of social events that are happening around the city or York that would be to interest of the club community and submits the President to be featured on the mailing list and the website

Sport Events Director:
Responsibilities:
-   Coordinates and organizes “Type A” sports events (Ex:Volleyball, Skating, Soocer)
-   Acts as a primary contact regarding all sport events
-   Books rooms or other facilities
-   Acts as the first contact regarding any events organized by club members (Events of Type B)
-   Compiles list of  sport events  that are happening around the city or York that would be to interest of the club community and submits the President to be featured on the mailing list and the website

Marketing Director
Responsibilities:
-   Designs posters or works with a poster designer to get the job done
-   Creates photocopies for posters
-   Coordinates the team of people responsible for postering at York

Designer
Responsibilities:
-   designs posters, flyers and evites for the club.

Promotions Team:
Responsibilities:
-   Helps to hang up posters at york
-   Spreads the word about the club
-   Acts as a volunteer at ASFSR events
