##### IMPORTANT PLEASE READ #####

RuSSA in association with www.greengardenearth.com and Environmental Outreach Team are planning a tree planting event at York as a follow up for the Earth Day to raise awareness about the changing environment and contribute to the preservation of it. By planting trees we contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere.

I talked to York administration and they suggested to increase the area of Danby Woods - SW corner of Keele and Chimneystack, here's a link to the campus map:

Red Maple, White Cedars, Elders, Spruce will be the trees we are planning to plant. I am trying hard to get free plants or at least some funding from York I'll keep you posted on that one, otherwise we already have a discount from a store, TBA by the end of the week or so.

REMEMBER dress appropriately!!! I hope that would be a sunny day, but still no fancy clothes you wouldn't want to get dirty.

We are also planning to go to a pub after the event to have a drink to celebrate the end of the year and the successful planting of trees =)) Hope to see everyone there!!

UPDATES

Apr 10:
Black Creek Project kindly provided us 45 plants to support our event!!! They will also provide shovels, trunk protection and possibly wood chips =)
